Why did Caryl Churchill name the play “Top Girls?”

I believe that Caryl Churchill name the play Top Girls because, it talks about women that have to live a man life in orther to success in this man world. Is about women living like a man to follow their dreams, to acomplish their goals, to be known in the world not because their women but because they are strong women ‘TOP GIRLS’, that did the same things that man do but as women. In my personal opinion im very happy that in the world that were living right now women have more participation in society. Also that women voices are heard today.

what is the relationship between love and money in the play.

First the gods came out looking for a good soul that will lgive them hospitality for a night, as they found shen te they gave her money which she used to buy the tobacco shop. Second, because she was so good and love to help others she let the people to come to stay in the shop. Also, the money and love came tigether when the elderly couple lend shen te the money for the rent. Moreover Shen Te tried to sell the shop, to raise the money for her love the pilot, who didn’t love her but wanted her money.  The barber Shu Fu offers her a check and his barracks so that she might pay off her debts and house the homeless people around her.

describe your emotional response to the good woman of zeschuan

The Good Woman of Sezchuan is a play about a prostitute name shen te who tried to live her life serving to others, which is the way that the gods like it, but also without letting people abused her goodness. For this reason is that she is forced to invent an alter ego name shui ta to protect her. As a reader I don’t feel any emotion toward The Good Woman Of Zsechuan, because something bad was about to happen to her her alter ego step up to save her, also I think she played both roles pretty good.

what is your opinion of helmers reaction to Nora's confession?

I believe he exaggerated because, he didn’t even care about the reasons she had to do what she did, all he worried  was about  what people was going to think aboout him when they found out what Nora did. Also I think Helmer was very selfished, that all that matter to him was himself.  He treadted Nora like a doll all the time and he never paid attention to the children. Moreover, he insulteda and curse Nora out, and she didn’t even tried to defend herself because what she had done she did it for love to save Helmer’s live.

As a result, its political, linguistic and cultural legacy is widespread. At the peak of its power, it was often said that "the sun never sets on the British Empire" because its span across the globe ensured that the sun was always shining on at least one of its numerous territories.

Describe the role of strength and intellect in the play Ti jean and his brothers.

Being strong is is not always the best quality that a person can have especially when you're dealing with someone as tricky as the devil. in this play the strength is not well play by gross-jean the older brother who thinks that because he have an arm hard as iron , he can be stronger than the devil. also the mid brother mi-jean believes that because he reads a lot , he can defeat the devil. finally ti- jean the last of the brothers he used his head and brain to defeat the devil . he thought the same way that the devil was thinking and at the end he tricked the devil and won th e batle.

the qing ding pearl

The qing ding pearl is a a chinese play that has been translated in english for the english speaking audience. It is about a fisherman and his daughter  victims of cruel official that wants to charge taxes eventhough they haven’t make money out of their fishing.the qing ding pearl is a  very short  and they actors sing in the play . Is not so different from master harolds and the boys because talks about the strugles that people have within their social class. For example, in master harolds and the boys apatheid was practice in africa and black people were treated like slaves and in the qing ding pearl the fisherman and his daughter were victimis of oprression from and official.

apartheid

APARTHIED  was a system of legal racial segregation in south africa. In  the play master harold’s and the boys apartheid is in action at all times. Master harold is a 17 years old boy that have to black men on their mid- forties as servants. He talks to them in a superior way using intellectual words. At the end opf the play when hally and sam are remenbering the day sam made the kite for hally hsays :  if you ever do write it as a short story, there was a twist in our ending. I couldn’t sit down there and stay with you. It was a “white only” bench.

MASTER HAROLD'S AND THE BOYS .

At the beginnig of the play harold and sam talk to each others as if they were close friends because they share some  knowledge, willie was just  not that close to harold because he wasn’t very smart.  While the play goes on harolds gets a news that get him upset  and he start treating and talking to sam and willie very bad he uses ballroom to attached them because he knos it was very important for them.  I think master harolds does not treat willie and sam fair, because he takes all his anger on them. eventhought on the bottom on his heart he knows that the way he talks to them is unfair

did gertrude participated in the kings dead?

I do not believe she participated on the king (by the time his husband) dead, because she was living large as a queen. what i think happend was that after the king dead she got scared of her future because she was not going to be queen anymore so she decided to keep it in the family and become wife of the kings brother after a month of his husband murder.

is hamlet crazy?

I don't think he is crazy. the fact that he talks to his father ghost don't makes him crazy. hamlet wants revenge and also he wants to know who kill his father and his father ghost is giving him the answer he needs . however i believe he should focus more on his country future.

“Trifles” by Susan Glaspell

Trifles is a dramatic play where the way men treated women is the main focus. Men do not appreciate women; that’s what the play is all about and the things women do to free themselves. Three different women are introduced in this play. Mrs. Hale, a large, timid and comfortable looking woman, who was Mrs. Wright’s friend for a while but distanced herself because of Mrs. Wright household situation. Mrs. Hale thinks it was a justifiable crime. Mrs. Peters the sheriffs wife, she is a slight wiry woman, with a nervous face who lives by the law. After she found out about Mrs. Wright’s loss she bonds with her because she has lost someone important in her life too. Mrs. Wright’s, before she got married was a cheerful woman who wore colorful clothes and loved to sing. Mrs. Hale describes her as kind, sweet, pretty and timid. After Mrs. Wright got married, everything changed, she hides behind her apron and Spent most of her time in her cold kitchen. When they found, her she was sitting in her chair looking queer but happy at the same time. Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peter were disturbed by what has happened in the house and as time passed and they realized how much Mrs. Wright was suffering; they sympathized with Mrs. Wright.
